The
curriculum devised for the Hartford
Art School Integrated Media Arts program has an
intermedia and interdisciplinary approach
to art making with the moving image at its core. Projects have been developed
with the emphasis on process in a
workshop environment with collaborative
exchange in mind. Rigorous screenings
and readings in moving image history,
contemporary art practices
and visual culture are integrated within
studio practice. The program has a breadth
that spans three distinct tracks: video art, creative computing, and experimental animation. The program encourages imaginative combinations of all media both traditional and emergent.
